Introducing Jim Dyment: A Pioneer in Bicycle Crowd Management
Jim Dyment brings over three decades of distinguished service with the Seattle Police Department, where he served as Officer, Sergeant, and Lieutenant. His diverse assignments included Patrol, Street Crimes, the Gang Unit, and leadership roles such as founding and commanding the Wellness Unit and Bike Unit.
In 1999, during the World Trade Organization Conference in Seattle, Jim developed the first policy and training program for bicycle crowd management, a field in which he has since become a recognized expert. He holds Riot and Disturbance Control Instructor Certification, IPMBA Basic and BRT Instructor certifications, and BICP Level 1 and Level 2 Instructor certifications. His expertise has been sought for National Public Security Events, including the 2016 and 2020 Republican National Conventions and the Super Bowl, where he provided on-the-ground consultations to ensure effective crowd management strategies.
Tiger Mountain Tactical: Excellence in Training
Under Jim’s leadership, TMT has trained officers from major U.S. police departments such as NYPD, Charlotte-Mecklenburg PD, Orlando PD, Tampa PD, Atlanta PD, St. Louis Metropolitan PD, California Highway Patrol, and Michigan State Police. Internationally, TMT has provided training to police agencies in Switzerland attended by Belgian and French Law Enforcement. And in the U.A.E.
